Zieta Prozessdesign
Zieta Studio is a Polish brand founded in 2010 by Oskar Zięta - architect, innovator, and award-winning designer. The studio creates objects of desire out of metal, combining art, technology, and research in materials science and engineering.
Zieta Studio designs through process, allowing its proprietary FiDU technology to play a role just as important as that of the designers themselves. The studio refers to this approach as a “controlled loss of control”. It deforms metal from flat membranes into three-dimensional forms, giving objects a utilitarian dimension while allowing them to remain works of art - manifestos of a fascination with the material. These are ultralight, monomaterial objects designed for generations.
Zieta Studio’s objects are unique ambassadors of the groundbreaking FiDU technology - a method of internal pressure forming, developed and patented by Oskar Zięta. This technology allows metal to be shaped with air and is revolutionising the worlds of design, art, architecture, ultralight industry, and new mobility.
Since his early debut in 2007 at SaloneSatellite, Oskar Zięta has continued to present his collectible metal objects in Milan, including seating such as the iconic Plopp stool, Ultraleggera - the lightest aluminium chair in the world, Chippensteel 0.5, and J-Chair; mirrors such as Rondo and Tafla Oko; as well as architectural yet bionic table structures including G-Table, Parova Table, and Crash Table. The studio has also developed the unique and sustainable Zieta Lighting collection, represented by Lampin, Luna, Harmonica, and Blade, alongside numerous accessories and vases. All objects are manufactured using the innovative FiDU technology.
Zieta Studio experiments with the forms and properties of various metals, creating objects that balance on the boundary between aesthetics and function. These are furniture pieces and sculptural home objects that redefine the qualities of steel, aluminium, and copper, revealing the transformative potential of FiDU technology.
